Finally Martin suggested that the Contactees could not have invented their stories which would only make sense after many decades of progress by our science and that the criticism, ridicule and rejection of them was not nearly as "disinterested" and "truth seeking" as its propagators insinuated. Investigate Before You Vaccinate with Kathy Scarborough
The next speaker was Kathy Scarborough who’s topic was Investigate Before You Vaccinate. Kathy’s title speaks for itself and her presentation revealed just how dangerously insane some vaccination policies can be. Personally I’ve read that many diseases today are not only caused by increased levels of toxins into our environment, but also due to our immune systems having become “lazy” in their role within our bodies, hence their breakdown. Vaccinations can add to this “laziness” weakening the immune systems abilities.

Kathy spoke on many issues relating to vaccinations but the most insidious that many parents can relate to is the powerful unspoken message from media sources, the medical profession and other parents that those who refuse vaccinations for their children are being irresponsible. This is not just for their children’s safety but others in the community as well. Ironically, Kathy’s research has revealed that it is vaccinated children who spread diseases in the community and not unvaccinated children as many believe.

Kathy went on to state that 24 vaccines are automatically perpetrated on Australian children by age 4 and this places a huge strain on their still developing immune systems. In fact, if vaccines require an immune response for them to work, one wonders why children so young require vaccinations before their immune systems are fully functional. With the current push for even more vaccinations, spurred on by media fear mongering over meningococcal and the proposed avian flu “epidemic” set to hit Australia “any time now”, not to forget the financial incentives for doctors to continue perpetration of this insanity on our young, one might wonder if vaccinations will eventually destroy the human immune system and fulfil the prophetic warnings from some alien abductees.

Kathy also spoke of the ingredients in vaccinations such as aluminium (toxic to the nervous system), thiomersal which contains 50% mercury (neurotoxic effects of mercury are cerebral palsy, hearing loss, vision impairment, loss of muscle coordination, mental retardation), formaldehyde (used for embalming), phenol (antifreeze), borax (ant-rid), monosodium glutomate or MSG (currently being investigated for it’s role in birth defects) and a wide range of antibiotics that can induce anaphylaxis, an acute life threatening allergic reaction.

Kathy also stated that the reactions to vaccinations are varied in type and range and often go undetected by parents. When a vaccine is given it is common for babies and children to develop a fever and to experience some soreness and redness at the site of injection. Parents are advised to give them Panadol or similar to reduce fever and discomfort. However, there are less common adverse events that parents should remain aware of such as a hypnotic or floppy episode, excessive sleeping, prolonged crying or screaming in a high pitch, gastro-intestinal upsets such as vomiting or diarrohea, extremely high temperature, seizures, immediate and severe rashes. Serious reactions to vaccines include anaphylaxis, paralysis, brain damage and death.

The bottom line is that there is a great deal of evidence to prove that immunisation of children does more harm than good and this has also been confirmed by many medical professionals including Dr J.A. Australian Disclosure Project with Deb Payne and Dominic McNamara
The third topic of the day was jointly presented by Deb Payne and Dominic McNamara on the Australian Disclosure Project. Now in it’s third year the project has become the second largest user of the National Archives (the Australian government remains the largest user) in it’s efforts to ascertain the extent of official Australian Government knowledge of the UFO subject.

Members of AURA have scoured the records of the RAAF, CSIRO, Dept of External Affairs, RAN, Dept of Supply (Woomera), DSTO, Bureau of Meteorology and the former Dept of Civil Aviation. Deb went on to speak of their discoveries during this search - see the Fourth Australian National UFO Conference Review here. 

Dominic McNamara, now the presiding chairperson for AURA, was interviewed earlier this year by the current affairs TV program, Today Tonight which led to him making contact with a woman who had worked on the “Black Knight” project conducted at the Woomera Rocket Range in north west South Australia. Dominic recorded her testimony on video during which she stated, while conducting filming on the project an oblong disk came into her view. It was a dark gun metal colour, lit on top with greenish-yellow light, and travelling below a missile. It had appeared while slowly travelling in a straight line and come significantly close to her. It then stopped, hovered briefly, then took off.

A few weeks later while returning to the Range she arrived at the gate and sighted a huge green light that blinded her as well as two other people on site. Similar sightings also appeared in the newspaper that matched her own. Subsequent to these two events she was intimidated by two “men in black”. Following this presentation was a film collection of UFO sightings and witnesses reporting on their first hand accounts sent to the conference by Mike Farrell from UFOVAC who was unable to attend due to personal commitments.

Ancient Civilizations and Secret Bases in the Blue Mountains with Rex Gilroy
The last speaker for the day was Rex Gilroy presenting on Ancient Civilizations and Secret Bases in the Blue Mountains. Rex has long thought that Australia is possibly the home of Atlantis since, according to the Sumerians, it was on a land in the south surrounded by water. Perhaps this is the driving force behind Rex’s unceasing passion to walk all over Australia, who can say, but his pioneering spirit and enthusiasm to bring artefacts of ancient civilizations to light and to seek out reports of alien visitors seems relentless. Naturally while bush bashing, he’s also discovered evidence for unusual creatures such as yowies and has gathered many casts of their prints over the years. He’s also found giant human footprints and tools affirming aboriginal myths and legends of giants in Australia.

Rex and Heather Gilroy

Living in the Blue Mountains Rex and his wife Heather are exposed to panoramic views of Burragorang Valley, which I have learned from other sources, loosely translated from aboriginal language means “hunting kangaroo”. The thick bushland of the valley is home to masses of wildlife and bushwalking in the National Park can be hazardous due to it’s density, which Rex himself has discovered. Burragorang is also an idyllic location to hide anything, including a military base, and Rex has gathered various reports over the years of bushwalkers being told to turn back by patrolling American soldiers. There have also been reports of the sounds of vehicles driving underground. From various reports and his own experiences, Rex has drawn the conclusion that whatever else is going on at the base it’s highly likely activities include time travel experiments.

Rex has gathered a wide range of reports over the years of time incidents where people are dressed in clothing dating to the 1920s, 40s and 50s era. In one such case in 1969 a hiker was suddenly struck by a cold blistering wind during the Australian summer season, then he suddenly saw a gathering of men, women and children who were standing in front of him dressed in suits and overcoats from the 40s/50s vintage. He tried speaking to them but no one acknowledged his presence. He passed beyond the gathering, felt another cold wind, turned around and found the people and their cars vanished. Species Shift with Sheryl Gottschall
Ever since my introduction to the UFO subject I’ve had a keen interest in the contactees from the 1950s and 60s era. I’ve been fascinated by their ET messages even though many in the UFO research community today feel they are an embarrassment to the subject and would rather they died a quiet death. However, my intuition has always screamed there is more to their accounts for us to understand even though aspects of their stories don’t currently make sense, and if we could put our limited egos on hold for a while we might just discover something profoundly important for mankind.

It became interesting to me that during the 1950s and 60s while western civilization was undergoing a huge social reformation there was also the emergence of contactees. Their messages, values and goals matched those of the social movements, those being, a call for world peace, a strengthening and respect for the “brotherhood of man”, environmental concerns and a deep respect for all life. Maybe not too interesting in itself and perhaps even predictable considering the contactees themselves were also immersed in those vast social changes.

However, contactee accounts were now concurrent with skyrocketing reports of UFO sightings over nuclear storage facilities or where nuclear weapons existed around the world. In some cases UFOs were reported as interfering with the launch of nuclear missiles and the shutting down of their storage silos. Considering contactees were passing on warnings from ETs about our technological advancement and in particular concern over our use of nuclear weapons, the question in my mind had become, were ETs involving themselves with the course of events regarding our weapons use and development, and if so, how else had they become involved in our society. Considering ETs also warned that our science was falling out of step with our spiritual development and that this would have dire consequences for our civilization I began to wonder what really happened in the 50s and 60s regarding the social reformation and if ETs had played any sort of role in that as well.

Could those stirred into action with social reformation been given a nudge in directions that were considered better directions by an ET source? Was a certain awareness being injected into people’s consciousness? Had our natural developmental rate received a prod and was this in turn flowing on to our greater society. Is it still happening today?

Interestingly, modern day close encounter experiencers seem to undergo a transformation and some of those changes heighten their social concerns and activism. This is confirmed by the Roper study which evaluated people reporting close encounters, revealing them to have strong activism tendencies. This also showed up in the Omega Project findings, a study spearheaded my Dr Ken Ring. Ring found, among other things, that people who report abduction experiences also develop strong social concerns.

If one studies early contactee accounts you find this tendency arises in those people as well. For example, Dan Fry’s newsletter “understanding” is riddled with ideas of world peace, respect for life and concerns over social transformation, or lack of it. It has become clear to me that ET contact of any kind has the direct effect on contactees and abductees of either heightening their levels of social activism in their community or targeting those who will develop a sense of social activism and thereby enhance their social influence in society. This might mean we have been receiving cosmic nudges in directions that will help us prepare for contact and open doors to our greater galactic neighbourhood.

Letting Go Of All Fear – From Abductee to Enlightenment with Kevin Robb
Conference organiser, Kevin Robb, told his personal account of observing three objects in the sky while fishing with a friend. One of them had a beam of light that rotated around the craft then withdrew back into it. Kevin shone a torch beam at the object which responded by moving closer at a rapid rate. Meanwhile his friend was telling him to turn the torch off and the next they knew there was a bright white light on the beach and that was the last thing they remembered.

Later in 1996 at Lonsdale, Kevin observed a silent cigar-shaped object, and later still another experience of seeing a red and green flickering light over his house which jumped across the sky and back in half a second. This object then started doing laps around his house and so he called the police who attended Kevin’s home and also observed the unusual object. Later he felt his thoughts and feelings were being monitored and woke up in bed in a cold sweat. He then saw two ceramic-looking beings and yelled, “get the hell out of my house”.

At various times Kevin has felt more confident with making contact and has shone torches at UFOs in an attempt to communicate but the objects have left. Like many others, he has feelings of tingling on the crown of his head before he sees UFOs. He also remembers being in a big room which was pure white and seeing his friend laying on a table next to him while having a long needle inserted into his feet, head and side.

Kevin has had many sightings and might be what I refer to as a “UFO magnet”. I would classify him as having an encounter–prone personality, meaning, people who consistently report close encounters are often artistically or creatively inclined and can develop an interest in healing. Kevin is a personal care worker, an alternative healer and plays in a band. For me this is the most fascinating aspect of Kevin’s personal journey. Spiritual Awareness with Glennys Mackay
Queensland’s Glennys Mackay was the next speaker and her presentation was entitled “Spiritual Awareness, A Perspective of the life of a Spiritual Medium’s close encounters”.

Glennys grew up on the family farm in Tasmania and from the beginning could heal sick animals. She could see fairies in the garden and thought others could see into different realms like her until she was rudely awakened. At age 15 Glennys had a drowning experience when someone came up behind and grabbed her around her throat. She then had a large explosion in her head and a bright white light appeared. She was told to “go back, it wasn’t time” and her next memory was being on the beach with the police present. This story fascinated me because my observation has been that many close encounter experiencers also often report having had a near death experience.

While living in New Zealand Glennys had contact experiences every night right through the 1970s. Then in 1978 she saw a large UFO in the back paddock behind the house. She was later told the exact date of the fall of the Berlin Wall by ET beings. Glennys has since spent 6 ½ years travelling around Australia with her husband George and in this time she has collected many stories from the indigenous communities who reported contact with “star people”.

One report was from two people who were fishing from a boat when a UFO came down and tried to take them from the boat. Since that time the two individuals have not been fishing again. Another report was from an elderly men who had a mysterious force descend from the sky that saved him from being trampled by steers. Another account was from a Dajarra man who at 8 years old was taken by little greys not much taller than children. This report was investigated by police and is on official record. Still another report came from a military man working on the road repairing a bridge when a craft came over the ranges and hovered above the group of workers. Later another military man threatened him with physical force to remain silent.

Glennys is also a medium, clairvoyant and psychic rescuer so you can imagine the vast array of experiences she’s had. She has also acted as tour guide for many groups taking them to interesting places. One group included Colin Andrews, Graham Birdsall and Barry Chamish among others who she took to a fascinating place called Valley of the Sun near Brasilia. Glennys has had far too many stories to tell and not enough time. I’m hoping we can hear more at a future conference.

Close Encounters with Mary Rodwell
The next speaker was Perth researcher Mary Rodwell. Mary’s main focus in UFO research has been on people who report close encounter experiencers. She began by citing a recent poll taken by long time publication Readers Digest, that found one in five Australians as having seen something in the sky they could not explain. Mary went on to give a list of indicators of contact experiences stating that individuals who reported close encounters had been psychologically tested and found to have no psychopathology that can be currently recognised.

Mary also informed the audience that scientists today have found the human genome contains 223 genes that do not have the required predecessors on the genomic evolutionary tree. This means that at a relatively recent time as far as evolution goes, modern humans acquired an extra 223 genes, not through gradual evolution but horizontally as a sideways insertion of genetic material. The question Mary raises is the origin of these genes and whether it’s possible they were injected by an extraterrestrial presence. Add this to accounts of people who claim being abducted by aliens and it does make one go hmmmmm.

Mary also briefly touched on Francis Crick’s concept of Directed Panspermia that speculates about the possibility that maybe the production of living systems from molecules is a very rare event in the universe, but once developed can be spread by intelligent life forms using space travel technology.

To add further to her thoughts about close encounter experiencers Mary discussed Dr Roger Leir who, besides gaining fame for the surgical removal of alleged alien implants, has also conducted research in another field, the domain of childhood development. Leir has found that children born within the last 40 to 50 years are not the same human being as those born recently. He has also compiled functional growth statistics for children born between the years 1947 to 1987 and found a range of acceleration in growth and development that has changed considerably in this time.

Even more dramatic, according to Leir, are changes in the overall consciousness of the average child today which Mary proposed was the result of ET intervention and genetic manipulation. Mary has become particularly interested in reports from young children and their ability to understand concepts which 40 years ago would not have been entertained by that generation. Mary’s observations are that children being born today seem to have an innate, inborn knowledge and consciousness about things in this world that goes beyond anything that we ever conceived in the past which has nothing to do with evolution. To further make her point Mary quoted Dr P. M. H. Atwater who identified an extreme jump in human intelligence from 24 to 26 points and this quantum leap in development appears to have no precedent. She also quoted the “Sleeping Prophet” Edgar Cayce, who spoke of humanity taking a global leap from 1998 to 2012.

Mary’s research has found that these children or “star children” find it difficult to exist in our society and often say they feel more aligned to the stars than their home planet of Earth. Paranormal Investigator Jeff Fausch
The last speaker of the day was Jeff Fausch, a paranormal field investigator who has spent a lot of time attempting to capture spirits, ghosts or discarnate entities on film. Jeff’s presentation was fascinating as it took the audience into a more earthly, yet still otherworldly realm. The first investigation he presented was of “Cecilia House” in Adelaide which had been for sale. It was claimed the house, which was really a mansion, was haunted, and the new owner had to spend the night to see if the entities would accept their presence before any sale could go through. Funny as that may seem after you read Jeff’s presentation it may not seem so humorous.

TV program Today Tonight approached Jeff and his team, who remained sceptical, to spend time in the house to see what they could discover. Jeff’s history check revealed the house had originally been owned by the Catholic Church and the resident, Archbishop Norton, had resided in it until his death in 1923. After his death the mansion was used as a boarding school until in 1981 a new owner converted it into a bed and breakfast where they held murder mystery nights as entertainment. It transpired that every room was haunted and people reported having their hair touched, seeing visions of shadowy people, blankets being pulled off the bed, and the sound of a road train going through one of the bedrooms.

During their time in the house Jeff’s fellow investigators, Patrick and Bill, found one of their hands becoming icy cold. The temperature was taken of both parties hands which revealed a temperature drop from 30 degrees to between 16 and 18 degrees. This lasted all night. Meanwhile, Alison, the fourth member of the team, managed to take photos of an anomalous object in the grounds of the mansion and again later inside.

Further into the night while searching the cellar, Jeff heard footsteps behind him followed by Bill being thrown down the stairs by an unseen force. Jeff was then grabbed by the back of his neck while standing with his back to the wall. Spooky stuff! Once recovered from the incident (I’d be wide-eyed, screaming and running from the house by now) Jeff could still hear footsteps throughout the mansion. Determined to catch something on film Jeff quietly approached the doors of various rooms then flung them open to snap off a photo in the hope his camera would record an image. His persistence paid off and an orb was illuminated on one of his photos. Two minutes later the team heard banging, clunking, and knocking as if a displeased response to his actions, which greatly disturbed the cows, sheep and nearby birds.

Another investigation was undertaken at the site of St John’s Church and the nearby Manse in Adelaide. This place had a dark history with the death of five priests occurring in eight years, all only aged in their 50s. While on site the team reported seeing red orbs, some with tails that hung over the nearby graves. They also heard church bells ringing but there had been no church bells on the site since the 1940s. Jeff also saw an apparition of an entity running across his torch light which one of his crew also witnessed one hour earlier.

Among many experiences, Jeff and his team managed to catch on film anomalous objects that could not be explained by dust particles or the like. In one instance we saw a clip of an insect flying quickly through the air soon followed by something of similar size moving at a fast rate while emitting a soft light source and seeming to have internal structure. Jeff and his team also spent many hours in the Adelaide jail taking over 200 hours of footage and 600 to 700 photographs in the hope of capturing entities on film. After a long six month wait they managed to record one minute of video footage of something they felt could not be explained. That’s dedication!
